Ale House is our go-to when we are in Portsmouth for the theater. Not only is it steps from the Rep, but in walking distance to several great restaurants as well. The rooms are clean & comfortable, and staff are promptly available by phone & text even when not physically on premises. It’s very close to downtown and so easy to access with the staff texting us all the information before our arrival. The first Miller’s Ale House opened in 1988 in Jupiter, Florida, as a local place to be enjoyed by all walks of life. We are a sports-themed casual dining restaurant with a wide variety of entrees for a great value.
The lounge is a great place to congregate (there's is a 10 p.m. quiet policy in effect) and enjoy free snacks, such as chips and fruit, and welcome beers. There's also a computer and plenty of books and brochures in the lounge to help guests find their way around town.
